Fat burn is a metabolic process that happens when your body doesn’t have enough carbohydrates to burn for energy.

Your body converts fat into chemicals known as ketones.

The more ketones your body produces, the more fat your body is burning. Biosense® measures fat burn (ketones) in your breath

When carbohydrates are not available for the body to use as energy, it enters a state of ketosis to transform stored fat into ketone bodies to use for fuel instead. You can dramatically increase your ketone levels, and therefore the fat you burn, by reducing the number of calories you eat. You can do this by fasting, limiting your daily carbs, and exercising more.

You will breathe into a monitor to measure your ketones.

You can repeat this at each visit to measure how your diet and lifestyle is affect your ketone levels.
